Children's Meeting is held on the First and Third Sunday of each month (September through June) from 10:30 am–11:15 am and is open to the children of all members, attenders, and visitors. Children will be engaged so caregivers can attend Meeting for Worship. Children will join worship for the last 15 minutes.

Thanks to the many Friends who expressed interest in donating to the library! On Sundays, November 23, November 30, and December 7, bins will be available in the Reception Room to collect books that Friends wish to donate. Because of limited shelving we cannot automatically accept all books offered, so the Library Committee will all review donations. Any books not chosen for the collection will be available for a Friendly Book Swap on December 7th for you to expand your personal collections!

On December 14th, Bible Study will welcome guest author and speaker Chris Stern from Middletown Meeting in Lima, PA. Chris will share some brief, engaging stories from his memoir, Who Turned on the Light? Stories of Hope and Healing. Children's Meeting is our version of Sunday School or First Day school and is overseen by a certified instructor. Geared towards a large range of ages—from Pre-K through 8th Grade—we offer a fluid curriculum perfect for regular attendance or drop ins.
Children's Meeting, as of Feb. 2026, is held on the First, Second, and Third Sundays of each month (September through June) from 10:30 am–11:15 am and is open to the children of all members, attenders, and visitors. Children will be engaged so caregivers can attend Meeting for Worship. Children will join worship for the last 15 minutes.

Children's Meeting is offered at no cost to caregivers. Free childcare is also available onsite for younger children. Please see Children's Meeting for full details. We ask that all children not participating in Children's Meeting or childcare to join their parents in Meeting for Worship. No children should be left unattended in the meeting house.

Monthly Meeting of Friends of Philadelphia (Arch Street Friends) welcomes all to worship via Zoom on Sundays at 10:30 am. A member of the Worship and Ministry committee opens the virtual space for participants at 10:25 am. We welcome all newcomers and visitors to join us.
Online worship via Zoom is separate from in-person worship at Arch Street Meeting House and not hybrid.

We gather in-person for unprogrammed meeting for worship at 10:30 am on Sunday mornings. Visit our Invitation to Worship page for an introduction on how we gather in worshipful silence, intending to open ourselves wholly to the Divine Spirit, which we believe is within and beyond each person.
Vaccination is strongly suggested and masks are optional. We welcome all newcomers and visitors to join us.
Our meeting provides free childcare and, following the rise of meeting, we provide refreshments on most Sundays to enjoy each other's fellowship after worship.
Please note that in-person worship is separate and non-hybrid from the online Meeting for Worship we offer via Zoom at the same time on Sunday mornings.

Meeting for Business is conducted monthly by members for the needs of our community. In contrast with the more specifically focused committee meetings, Meetings for Business deal with a wide variety of topics and include all members in the dialogue.
Friends should contact the Clerk of the Meeting with any agenda items a week prior to Meeting for Business.
Meeting for Business is preceded by a potluck lunch following the rise of Meeting for Worship at 11:30am. All newcomers and attenders are welcome to join.

The Zoom room will open at 5:25 pm, with Meeting for Worship beginning at 5:30 pm and lasting for 45 minutes. Joys and Sorrows as well as Announcements will follow Meeting, with the Zoom worship to culminate at 6:30pm.
Messages must come from the heart and be understood to fit in with the prayerfulness of the meeting. Only one, we listen in silence and do not respond verbally. If you have a message that does not seem to you to be inspired, you will be invited to share it at the rise of Meeting for Worship.
